Küccük Architects founder Can Küccük assessed design trends for 2023.
Nature inspired colors and materials will invigorate the indoors this year according to Can Küccük.
Can Küccük states that endless combinations of green and blue hues will be seen indoors together with woods of different look.
Stating that sustainability has entered our lives deeply, the architect adds: “This awareness will keep on affecting our material choices every other day. Having been the most useful materials of human history, the wood is to enrich our living spaces in 2023. Various hues of many types of trees will be used.”
Can Küccük claims that the pandemics has been an obstacle amid humans and the environment and that humankind has an increasing need for nature and continues: “We are witnessing the flow of green towards the indoors with this consciousness. The plants should be chosen to provide unity with the user. This brings the need for us to suggest plant types as designers.”
As exhibiting art products is becoming a new trend, comments Can Küccük, pieces of artworks that the homeowners purchased will take an important part in design.
According to the architect, one of the other trends to take place in 2023 is open wall kitchens and spaces with minimum separation and says that a kitchen that has long been thought of as “woman’s working space” is now an area for the use of everyone in the household, a rejection of discrimination. We will continue to see comfort L-shaped sofas often.
To an elegant and comfortable new year 2023!
