THE JOY OF CYCLING ON TREETOPS IN ITALY

Welcome to the incredible Tree Trail, elevated to the treetop level for pedestrians and cyclists, and home to more than a thousand trees.

Designed by CRA (Carlo Ratti Associati) with the collaboration of non-profit GAL Terre del Po, the Tree Path is an elevated bicycle route that runs in-between trees, resting on two parallel rows of plants that act as pillars. The project, which extends from the fields of nature to Sabbioneta, brings together nature and technological elements. People can walk around the treetops or bike on this elevated platform.

The Tree Path was designed using Baubotanical forms. 1000 trees are planted for the project, and their growth becomes a fundamental and artistic component of the design. Tree Path offers an extraordinary experience by rising up to six meters above the ground. The use of trees as architectural elements in construction was designed in collaboration with the Office for Living Architecture (OLA), one of the world's leading experts in this field.

One of the striking aspects of the project is the digital sensors placed along the road. These sensors monitor every factor in the environment, from air quality to the growth of trees. The artificial intelligence of the Mindicity Urban Intelligence platform is used to create a perfect balance throughout this natural platform.
