FOSTER + PARTNERS DESIGNS THE FUTURE OF TRANSPORTATION IN DUBAI.

British architectural studio Foster + Partners revealed an exciting project in Dubai. The air taxi terminal concept, designed to the city's visionary transportation approach, stands out with its modern and sustainable architectural solutions.

A fast and efficient transportation system is among the top priorities for modern cities. Dubai, aiming to pioneer the future transportation technologies, is one of those cities, and Foster + Partners is designing a groundbreaking project for this dynamic metropolis. The design concept is part of a proposed project for electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) infrastructure networks that will enable high-speed transportation to popular locations across Dubai.

The system is proposed to be located next to the Dubai International Airport and integrate with the existing transport systems at the airport as well as surrounding transport hubs such as Dubai's metro network. The air taxi terminal, also known as the "Vertiport" concept, will provide a seamless, efficient, and environmentally friendly alternative for urban transportation. The design brings together sustainability and modern architectural principles, contributing to Dubai's vision for the transportation of the future.

Foster + Partners' pioneering design team is planning the air taxi terminal innovatively and functionally. The design, which harmonizes high technology and aesthetics, will serve as an integrated terminal in the city center. The terminal building surrounding the Vertiport airspace, will feature a glass façade offering panoramic views of the city and the airport. The terminal is envisioned as part of vertical urbanization, aiming to accentuate the skyline amidst the skyscrapers.
