In Stockholm, Great Exhibition has designed the world’s first office rollercoaster, aptly named “Frontal Lobe,” bringing vibrancy and fun to the workspace.
This innovative rollercoaster, conceptualized by Great Exhibition Stockholm, aims to transform work environments.
Spanning 60 meters, the track weaves through seating areas, a kitchen, and a bar on the ground floor. Built from red lacquered steel, the rollercoaster circles the central restrooms, ascending to four meters before descending in a thrilling ride. Integrated seamlessly into the office’s interior design, the ride features a single-person cylindrical car supported by bolted steel beams.
"Adding a rollercoaster to our office was an idea that many years ago people would have called an impossible dream, something fun but unfeasible and, to be honest, a bit absurd," explained Per Cromwell, the creative director of The Great Exhibition.
"In a world where everything is optimized, predictable, and somewhat soulless, increasingly driven by artificial intelligence and algorithms, the rollercoaster represents something random, spontaneous, and perhaps more than anything else, real."
Cromwell also noted that the rollercoaster has become a part of the daily routines of studio employees, integrating seamlessly into their work life.
