The UP model is made from a single type of recyclable plastic and designed for long-lasting use. ECO UP is our most sustainable version: its main body is made from bio-based plastic infused with wood shavings, while the seat is made from a blend of TPE and cork. What both designs have in common is that they bring movement to everyday life; they’re designed for flexibility and versatile use.

UP is a versatile height-adjustable stool developed by Interstuhl to support active, dynamic sitting. It can be used both as a seat and as support while working standing up. Its compact, lightweight design makes it suitable for flexible use in offices, meetings, workshops, and homes. Interstuhl

UP was designed by designer Sven von Boetticher. The design is based on mobility and movement in the workplace. Its curved base allows users to move in different directions and supports active sitting. 

UP’s curved, non-slip base allows controlled movement in different directions while seated. Rather than remaining in a fixed sitting position, this dynamic design encourages users to change positions, offering a more active seating experience. 

UP; Standard, Junior, and STAND UP versions are available to suit different needs. The Standard model can be adjusted steplessly from 450–630 mm, the Junior model from 375–490 mm, and STAND UP from 590–845 mm. UP can also be personalized with a choice of six colors and cushions in 14 different colors. 

 UP can be used in a variety of settings, from individual workspaces and shared workspaces to meeting rooms, workshops, and brainstorming areas. Its lightweight, portable design makes it easy to move wherever it’s needed, and it can provide support at a desk, during short meetings, or while working standing up.
