Setsu Ito
Japanese designer Ito's areas of expertise include architecture, interior design, product design, industrial design, and packaging design. After graduating from Tsukuba University in Japan, Ito worked with Alessandro Medini, a leading figure of the avant-garde Italian design group Studio Alchimia, and later with Angelo Mangiarotti, a master of modern architecture and design. Shinobu Ito joined the studio he opened in 1995 in 1997. The award-winning designer has created works for international clients in various fields ranging from space design to architecture, as well as furniture, lighting, and household items for Italian clients, and packaging and technological product designs for famous Japanese companies.
Shinobu Ito
Graduating from Tama Art University in Tokyo, Ito continued his education with a master's degree in Design Direction from Domus Academy in Milan. Between 1988 and 1995, he worked in both design and marketing for CBS Sony (Sony Music Entertainment) in Japan. Since then, he has been providing design consultancy for reputable companies in Milan and Tokyo, with his versatile work covering graphic design, interior design, and marketing. With considerable experience in interior and furniture design, Ito manages many projects from concept design to implementation. His attention to detail and design approach reflecting a female perspective are valued and appreciated by his clients. Some of his design works are part of the permanent exhibition at the Triennale in Milan.
