International Architecture Awards 2023 Winners Announced
The International Architecture Awards celebrate outstanding architectural achievements worldwide in their 18th year. This Chicago-based award platform evaluated the notable new buildings, urban planning projects, and landscape architecture of 2023.
Since 2004, the International Architecture Awards, organized in collaboration with The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design, The European Center for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies, and Metropolitan Arts Press, have honored architectural achievements worldwide for the 18th time this year. Among the awards given in a total of 25 categories, projects from Turkey included the Acıbadem Group Headquarters in the Health and Hospital category, the Divan Kuruçeşme project in the Hotel and Hospitality category, and the Benesta Benleo Acıbadem project in the Mixed-Use category. This year, the awards span many different locations from Ethiopia to Tokyo and from New York to Nova Scotia, covering 48 different countries.
Coinciding with the announcement of the Chicago-based awards, the 5th Edition of the Chicago Architecture Biennial is also taking place in the city. A grand opening ceremony was held on November 1 for the biennial, which began in September. The CAB 5 exhibitions will remain open until February 11, 2024.
