Open Call for the 19th Venice Architecture Biennale from IKSV

As one of the world's most important architecture events, the Venice Biennale International Architecture Exhibition will see the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (IKSV) coordinating the Turkey Pavilion this year, launching a two-stage open call process to determine the projects that will be included in the exhibition.

The 19th edition of the Venice Biennale International Architecture Exhibition will take place from May 10 to November 23, 2025. The Turkey Pavilion, which will participate in the Venice Biennale for the sixth time, will be realized with the contributions of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey and under the auspices of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey.

In the first stage of applications, project proposals that address current issues in the field of architecture, can present interdisciplinary approaches, and include a strong curatorial narrative are expected.

In addition to having a strong visual narrative, it is also important for the project to be understandable and accessible in terms of the theme. The call is open to multinational teams, including a team leader from Turkey.

IKSV will enable three projects selected by the jury to advance to the second stage. At this stage, the projects are expected to be presented in detail. The team selected at the end of the process will take on all curatorial responsibilities related to the exhibition and bring the project to life.
