Aga Khan Award for Architecture 2020-2022 winners have been announced. Six worthwhile projects from 5 different countries have been rewarded.
From a pool of 463 projects nominated for this year’s 45th organization of Aga Khan Award for Architecture, 20 projects have been shortlisted. The jury, composed of Sibel Bozdoğan, Nada Al Hassan, Amale Andraos, Kader Attia, Kazi Khaleed Ashraf, Lina Ghomet, Francis Kere, Anna Lacaton and Nader Tehrani has awarded six of them with strong aspiration for the future, innovative thinking and environmental responsiveness. Six projects that have been awarded are:
Urban River Spaces / Bangladesh
Khondaker Hasibul Kabir, Suhailey Farzana
A community participation project in a city of 250.000 population that focuses on transforming inaccessible and blocked river and bank spaces for the use of diverse communities.
Community Spaces in Rohingya Refugee Response / Bangladesh
